Game Content Legal Notice

1. Our content

All SoundCheck Trivia game content, including questions, answers, round titles and categories, song selections and song/question connections, fun facts, references, images, and the selection, order and arrangement of any of them ("Game Content"), is the proprietary and confidential property of Drunken Pirate Development LLC, DBA SoundCheck Trivia ("SoundCheck Trivia"). It is protected by copyright, trade secret and other laws.

2. How it may be used

  • Venues and hosts receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Game Content only to prepare and run a live SoundCheck Trivia game at an authorized venue, through the SoundCheck Trivia platform, for a game that venue has activated.
  • Players may view the Game Content in their own game history for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. What is not allowed

Unless SoundCheck Trivia agrees in writing, no one may:

  • copy, record, photograph, screenshot, print, download or transcribe Game Content, except as the platform itself allows for running a live game;
  • publish, post, share, sell, license or distribute Game Content, online or offline;
  • reveal Game Content to anyone before or outside the live game it was activated for;
  • use Game Content in any other trivia night, game, quiz, app, website, publication or product;
  • scrape or collect Game Content by automated means, or use it to build or train any database, software or artificial intelligence model.

4. What happens if these terms are broken

SoundCheck Trivia may, at its discretion:

  • suspend or permanently close the accounts involved (player, host and/or venue), including any active subscription, without refund;
  • remove venue and host listings from the platform;
  • take legal action, including seeking an injunction, damages (including statutory damages for copyright infringement where available), and recovery of attorneys' fees and costs as allowed by law.

5. Report misuse

If you see SoundCheck Trivia Game Content shared outside a live game, please tell us at support@soundchecktrivia.com.

This notice is part of, and is incorporated into, the SoundCheck Trivia Terms of Use, the Venue Platform Agreement and the Host Platform Agreement. If anything here conflicts with a signed agreement, the signed agreement controls, except that nothing in any agreement grants more rights to Game Content than this notice allows.
